Heuristic Treasure Basket

Description

A round, soft-sided basket filled with a curated set of natural objects — a smooth wooden ring, a metal whisk, a pinecone, a felted ball, a shell, a length of woven cord. No batteries, no buttons, nothing that does the playing for them. The baby sits and chooses, one piece at a time, at their own pace.

It invites the kind of slow, absorbed handling that comes naturally when a baby is given real things to weigh, mouth, knock together and set down again. Made for sitters from around 6 months, before crawling pulls them onto their feet. Materials are natural throughout — untreated timber, stainless steel, natural fibres and shell — so every object feels, sounds and weighs a little different in the hand.
